Celebrating Seven Years of Pioneering Electric Mobility
As S Curve Strategies marks its seventh year of advancing transportation electrification, we proudly reflect on our transformative journey and significant projects that have redefined sustainable transportation across the United States.
Pioneering Projects and Partnerships
From the bustling streets of New York to the sunny shores of San Diego, our work has spanned 11 states filled with diverse landscapes and industry challenges that we’ve successfully overcome. Here are just a handful of our stand-out projects.
Washington State ZEV Strategy: In collaboration with the Washington Department of Transportation, CALSTART, and PNWER, we developed a strategy to incentivize zero-emission vehicles in the medium- and heavy-duty sectors, showcasing our commitment to greener commercial transportation.
Clark County’s Regional Transportation Electrification Strategy and Fleet Electrification: S Curve Strategies brought together 150 stakeholders from across the region to develop an electrification strategy to meet policy goals. In addition, we sighted and designed charging infrastructure for this 2,400-vehicle fleet. We worked with our software partner, Better Fleet, to map infrastructure and vehicle costs, along with procurement schedules and incentive options, in an interactive online dashboard.
New York Power Authority’s Electrification Plan: Together with e3, we strategized electrification plans for five NYPA transit agencies, tailoring solutions to enhance urban mobility sustainably. With AECOM we developed a plan to electrify NYPA’s Bridges and Tunnels fleet.
Long Island Power Authority: We provided transportation electrification expertise with Vrinda to LIPA and their operating utility PSEG Long Island to grow the adoption of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles in their region.
ConEdison’s Roadmap for Electrification: Partnering with Vrinda, we crafted a roadmap that set the stage for pilot programs and scalability in utility-based electrification, highlighting potential funding and business models.
National Grid’s Strategic Framework: Our comprehensive strategy outlined the utility’s path to electrification based on innovative strategies and industry best practices in partnership with e3.
San Diego Unified School District’s Clean Mobility Grant: Writing and winning a $9.7M grant, we spearheaded the District’s education and outreach efforts in developing a blueprint for districts across the U.S. to use. It successfully electrified 13 school buses, incorporating battery storage and vehicle-to-grid, developing a student electric bike pilot, electrification of maintenance and lawn equipment, and data capture. This collaborative effort included the California Air Resources Board, CALSTART, San Diego Gas & Electric, Environmental Health Coalition, Circulate San Diego and Center for Sustainable Energy, and numerous other regional partners.
$15 Million in Grant Writing: Our expertise in federal and state grant writing enabled more than $15 million dollars in funding for numerous clients to enhance their transportation electrification efforts through the U.S. Department of Energy and state initiatives.
A Literary Milestone: Our President, April Bolduc, served as the Technical Editor for “Electric Cars For Dummies,” published in November 2022, underscoring our role in educating and engaging the public on electric vehicle technology.
Expanding Impact
Our ongoing projects continue to expand our impact of transportation electrification. As we celebrate this milestone, we thank our clients, partners, and the communities we serve across the U.S. for joining us on this journey. Here’s to many more years of innovation and industry leadership at S Curve Strategies!
