April Bolduc, Founder & President of S Curve Strategies

April Bolduc

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

April is passionate about transportation electrification. She has been in the industry and has driven an electric vehicle (EV) since 2011. By working with states, counties, and utilities across the U.S. to develop and launch their electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure strategies, she has inspired thousands of drivers and commercial fleet owners to transition to electric cars, trucks, and buses.

April assists government agencies in creating fast-charging corridors, fleet charging depots, and strong transportation electrification policies. She also helps utilities build knowledgeable EV charging teams, develop strategic plans, and implement successful EV customer experience efforts. Her clients rely on her innovative stakeholder engagement efforts, which gain regional consensus and results.

April has done hundreds of workforce training sessions, speaking engagements, podcasts, and media interviews on overcoming barriers to transportation electrification. She has led S Curve Strategies projects in California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, and Washington State.

Prior to forming S Curve Strategies in 2017, April led San Diego Gas & Electric’s EV charging customer experience growing the region to the highest adoption rate of EVs in the U.S. She launched some of the nation’s first EV charging incentive programs. April’s holistic approach to EV program development, stakeholder engagement, and grassroots campaigns has been the key to her success.

April led the utility’s annual National Drive Electric Week — named twice by Plug In America as the Largest EV Day Event in the World.

Prior to her EV program development role, April was the spokesperson for the utility and its parent company, Sempra Energy's, innovative technology efforts like EVs, smart meters, smart grid, smart cities, cybersecurity, and microgrids. Prior to that, she led communications for a dynamic public relations agency’s for Fortune 500 clients.

April is the technical editor for the popular Electric Cars for Dummies series.
